With our range of powerful hydraulic, petrol-powered mobile winches and engineered zip lines, we can reach previously inaccessible areas effectively and efficiently. Incoming landscaping products, equipment or building material can be transferred directly to the work area (or removed) with speed and control.
Our specifically designed ground anchor systems hold securely and provide flexible options when no other existing points of anchoring are available, making changes in direction possible and direct line-of-sight situations a thing of the past.
We provide stand alone and winch-assisted hill climbing and controlled descents using our dedicated NZ Winch 4×4 motorised barrow. With 170 litre skip capacity, large quantities of bulk material can be moved quickly and efficiently to the work site with restricted clearances down to 800mm.
We aim to provide a range of affordable ‘small footprint’ access solutions for problems associated with very tight access corridors. These include situations where helicopter lifts, mobile crane services or heavy machinery access would be problematic or impossible due to heavy vegetation, power lines, existing physical barriers or where challenging topographical features exist.
With long-range wireless remote control functionality and at a maximum of only 1100mm wide and less, our highly manoeuvrable hydraulic winching equipment can reach through the narrowest of gaps into areas previously inaccessible by regular methods.
We provide overhead zip line options for both short and longer term requirements and can cater to clear spans of up to 150 metres. Complete with heavy-duty dual trolley carriages and high speed haul-back lines, fragile cargo or oversized payloads can be transported in volume quickly and efficiently over impassable terrain or where traditional transport practices would be impractical or cost prohibitive.
For longer term contracts, all areas of the Lower North Island are serviced including Nelson and Tasman regions.

About Us…
NZ Winch was conceived and developed from a need for the efficient movement of plant and material on difficult sites or with challenging terrain. Our custom-designed specialist material handling systems overcome steep or slippery slopes where traction would be impossible using traditional machinery or labour intensive methods.
From small one-off jobs for the individual contractor or homeowner, to larger on-going development projects where larger volumes are required, we are able to move heavy or bulky material and equipment with ease and efficiency. We can carry loads on steep slopes of up to 8 times that of a regular wheelbarrow, can save you many man-hours on a job, as well as significantly reducing operator fatigue and accident rates through strenuous and repetitive manual handling.
